POLICY FOR CHANGING OF PROGRAMME AT UNDERGRADUATE LEVEL
(FULL TIME)

 

Please read the following information carefully before submitting your application.

 

1.       It is not the University's policy to allow students to change their programme of studies. Programme offered to students is final and this is stipulated in the offer letter.
         
2.       However, the Senate has granted power to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International) to consider and make the decision on changing of programmes applications.
         
3.       In making judgments, several criteria have been set, namely:
        3.1       Students applying for changing of programme must have completed their studies at the University for at least ONE (1) semester.
        3.2       GPA below 2.50 - students attaining lower academic achievement especially those who received the Conditional Pass (CP) and Repeat Semester are given priority.
        3.3       GPA above 3.50 - students with an excellent academic achievement and have the potential to obtain a First Class degree by changing the programme of study will be considered.
        3.4       Students entering the University from a Second Channel or in a case of changing the University will not be allowed to change programmes at all.
        3.5       Notwithstanding the conditions mentioned in items 3.2 and 3.3, special conditions of admission according to the programme as well as the student offset quota will be taken into account.
         
4.       Students from the original programme are not permitted to change to all educational programmes OR interviewed programmes.
         
5.       Students are NOT PERMITTED to change to the following competitive courses:
        i)       Bachelor of Accounting with Honours [B.Acct. (Hons)]
        ii)       Bachelor of Accounting (Information System) with Honours [B.Acct. (IS)(Hons)]
        iii)       Bachelor of Law with Honours [LL.B (Hons)]
        iv)       Bachelor of Philosophy, Law, and Business with Honours [BPLB (Hons)]
         
6.       PROCEDURE
        6.1       Applications can be made by filling out a form that can be downloaded from the of Academic Affairs Department’s website www.hea.uum.edu.my from 31 January to 06 February 2020.
        6.2       The completed application form must be returned to the Academic Affairs Department before or on 06 February by 3:00 p.m. at the latest through:

                iii. submitted/posted to the following address:

7.       Each application form must be attached with a copy of the CERTIFIED documents as stated below:
        7.1       A copy of SPM/SPMV examination results.        
        7.2       A copy of academic certificate when applying for admission to UUM (STPM/Matriculation/STAM/Diploma/Equivalent).
        7.3       A copy of MUET results.
        7.4       A copy of the examination results of all semesters at the current undergraduate degree program.
         
8.       The processing fee of RM100.00 will be charged to the student's account once the change of programme application is approved.
         
9.       Applications that are not eligible, not in accordance with the procedure or received after the closing date will not be processed.
         
10.       Application status (successful/fail) can be checked through the student’s portal or from The Academic Affairs Department’s notice board.

 

REMINDER

1.       The approval of the programme CANNOT be revoked.
2.       Students who have been granted approval of the change of programme are not allowed to do so for a second time.
3.       Students who have been granted the approval of the change of programme should follow the programme structure according to the admission session which they have registered as a UUM student.
4.       Graduates of any Diploma programmes who have been granted the approval of the change of programme are NOT PERMITTED to apply for CREDIT TRANSFER application as it is only meant for first semester students.
5.       It is the responsibility of the students to notify their sponsors and bear with the consequences should their sponsorship is withdrawn due to the change of programme.
6.       The examination results of all semesters before the change of programme are still taken into account in GPA calculations for subsequent semesters.
7.       Students who have been approved to change their programmes should refer to the Dean of their respective School on the course intake planning for the new programme.

 

DASAR PERTUKARAN PROGRAM PENGAJIAN PERINGKAT SARJANA MUDA
(SEPENUH MASA)

 

Sila baca dengan teliti maklumat berikut sebelum mengemukakan permohonan anda.

 

1.       Bukanlah menjadi dasar Universiti untuk membenarkan pelajar bertukar program.  Tawaran program kepada pelajar adalah muktamad dan ini jelas dinyatakan di dalam surat tawaran kemasukan.
         
2.       Walau bagaimanapun, Senat telah menurunkan kuasa kepada Timbalan Naib Canselor (Akademik dan Antarabangsa) untuk menimbang dan membuat keputusan ke atas permohonan pertukaran program.
         
3.       Dalam membuat pertimbangan, beberapa kriteria telah ditetapkan iaitu:
        3.1        Pelajar yang memohon pertukaran program, hendaklah telah melengkapkan pengajiannya di Universiti ini sekurang-kurangnya satu (1) semester.  
         3.2       PMK 2.50 kebawah - pelajar yang memperolehi pencapaian akademik yang rendah terutamanya yang mendapat status Lulus Bersyarat (LB) dan Mengulang Semester diberi keutamaan dalam pertimbangan.          
         3.3       PMK 3.50 ke atas - pelajar yang mempunyai pencapaian akademik yang cemerlang dan berpotensi untuk mendapat Kelas Pertama dengan menukar program akan dipertimbangkan.          
         3.4       Pelajar yang memasuki Universiti dari Saluran Kedua dan Pertukaran Universiti tidak akan dibenarkan bertukar program sama sekali.          
         3.5       Walau apapun syarat yang disebut pada perkara 3.2 dan 3.3, syarat khas kemasukan mengikut program serta pengimbangan pelajar mengikut kuota bagi sesuatu program akan diambil kira semasa  membuat pertimbangan.          
         
4.        Pelajar  dari  program asal tidak dibenarkan membuat pertukaran kepada semua program pendidikan ATAU program bertemu duga.           
         
5.       Pelajar TIDAK DIBENARKAN bertukar ke program kompetetif berikut:
         i)       Sarjana Muda Perakaunan dengan Kepujian [B.Acct. (Hons)]          
        ii)       Sarjana Muda Perakaunan (Sistem Maklumat) dengan Kepujian [B.Acct. (IS)(Hons)]
        iii)       Sarjana Muda Undang-Undang dengan Kepujian [LL.B (Hons)]
        iv)       Sarjana Muda Falsafah, Undang-Undang Dan Perniagaan dengan Kepujian [BPLB (Hons)]
         
6.        PROSEDUR           
        6.1       Permohonan boleh dibuat dengan mengisi borang permohonan yang boleh dimuat turun dari laman sesawang Jabatan Hal Ehwal Akademik www.hea.uum.edu.my mulai 31 Januari hingga 06 Februari 2020.
        6.2       Borang permohonan yang telah lengkap diisi hendaklah dikembalikan ke Jabatan Hal Ehwal Akademik sebelum atau pada 06 Februari 2020 selewat-lewatnya jam 3.00 petang melalui:

7.       Setiap borang permohonan hendaklah disertakan bersama salinan dokumen yang DISAHKAN seperti berikut:
        7.1       Salinan keputusan peperiksaan SPM/SPMV.
        7.2       Salinan sijil akademik semasa memohon kemasukan ke UUM (STPM/Matrikulasi/STAM/Diploma/Setaraf)
        7.3       Salinan MUET.
        7.4       Salinan keputusan peperiksaan semua semester di peringkat pengajian ijazah yang diikuti sekarang.
         
8.       Bayaran proses RM100.00 akan dicaj ke akaun pelajar setelah permohonan pertukaran program diluluskan.
         
9.       Permohonan yang tidak memenuhi syarat, tidak mengikut prosedur atau diterima selepas tarikh tutup tidak akan diproses.
         
10.       Status permohonan (berjaya/gagal) boleh disemak melalui portal pelajar atau dari papan kenyataan Jabatan Hal Ehwal Akademik.

 

PERINGATAN

1.       Kelulusan bertukar program TIDAK BOLEH ditarik balik selepas kelulusan.
2.       Pelajar yang telah diberi kelulusan bertukar program tidak dibenarkan bertukar program kali kedua.
3.       Pelajar yang telah diberi kelulusan bertukar program, hendaklah mengikut struktur program mengikut sesi kemasukan di mana beliau mula mendaftar sebagai pelajar UUM.
4.       Pelajar lepasan Diploma yang telah diberi kelulusan bertukar program, TIDAK DIBENARKAN memohon PEMINDAHAN KREDIT kerana syarat pindah kredit hanya bagi pelajar semester pertama sahaja.
5.       Adalah menjadi tanggung jawab pelajar sendiri untuk berurusan dengan pihak penaja dan menanggung risiko sekiranya penajaan ditarik balik akibat pertukaran program.
6.       Keputusan peperiksaan semua semester sebelum bertukar program masih diambil kira di dalam pengiraan PMK untuk semester-semester berikutnya.
7.       Pelajar yang diberi kelulusan bertukar program perlu merujuk kepada Dekan di Pusat Pengajian masing–masing mengenai perancangan pengambilan kursus bagi program baharu.
