CONVOCATION

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

UUM CONVOCATION CEREMONY 2020 – GRADUATE IN ABSENCE
PROCEDURE FOR
SCROLLS AND ACADEMIC TRANSCRIPTS DISTRIBUTION

First and foremost, on behalf of Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), we would like to extend our heartiest congratulations on your successful achievement in completing your studies. However, the University had to make the difficult decision to cancel the Convocation Ceremony for this year in view of the COVID-19 pandemic and the announcement to that effect has been made earlier.

Indeed, ceremonies for the award of degrees are a central part of the UUM life. We deeply regret that, as a result of the health crisis, Congregations to confer degrees in person will not take place until further notice, affecting the rest of this academic year and potentially well beyond. We have put in place exceptional measures, so that students who successfully meet the requirements of their courses may continue to graduate in absence.

We will start distributing the degree scrolls and academic transcripts beginning from 21 December 2020 onwards. To ensure the efficiency of the process, please strictly adhere to the following steps:

STEP 1: GRADUATION STATUS REVIEW

You can check your eligibility to graduate in the UUM Portal.

In closing, I pray that each and everyone of you will continue to pursue excellence and success in your respective fields of endeavour. I am confident you will succeed spectacularly if you persevere in your efforts to attain your cherished goals.
